2010-07-29 Demonstrating industrial multi-discipline capabilities

Harsco Infrastructure, which incorporates the former Nicol UK and SGB brands, demonstrated its full range of industrial service solutions at the official opening of their newest branch located in Immingham. The new branch, which opened at the beginning of April 2010 signals the commitment Harsco Infrastructure has to becoming one of the UK’s leading providers of multi-disciplinary construction and maintenance services to process facility operators.

Colin Hill, Business Development Director explains “The marriage of our extensive international experience combined with the specialist local knowledge that we are now able to draw on, has enabled us to enhance our range of specialist services to meet the individual requirements of each plant and facility.  For example, our multi-disciplined offering now includes proven capabilities for scaffolding, light access, mechanical access, formwork, thermal insulation, cladding, site cleaning and industrial painting.”

Working on both new build projects and long-term maintenance projects gives industrial facility operators the unique ability to take their plants from cradle to grave using Harsco Infrastructure. From the early design stages, to construction, to maintaining and then finally to decommissioning, Harsco Infrastructure can play a vital role in the entire life of a site.

Harsco Infrastructure strongly believes that health and safety is the single most important aspect of all activities undertaken by the company. The driving principle behind each of our client solutions is the safety of our colleagues, customers and the general public.  Whether the particular requirement involves work at height, or in confined spaces, our risk management expertise, backed up by our shared knowledge, insight and experience form a valuable resource for our customers.

As we expand our international presence we now operate under a single new name with the objective of becoming the global leader in these specialist fields. We are working harder than ever to pool the accumulated expertise in design, engineering, site safety and logistics worldwide to the advantage of our customers.  We believe our customers can only benefit from this change.

The new Immingham site location will service the Humberside, Scunthorpe, Redcar and Teesside industrial zones.  Its 750 staff are currently deployed at over 30 client locations within the area as well as undertaking projects requiring specialist housing on site at the new premises.  Additional site tours can be arranged by contacting Colin Hill at the Harsco Immingham Office on 01469 553800.
