A system scaffolding structure is a frame structure that uses a specialized modular connection. This type of scaffolding emerged from the fundamental elements of tube and clamp scaffolding, but features a different connection of the uprights – “standard” – to the horizontal members – “transoms and ledgers” – and the diagonal members – “braces”.
This type of system scaffolding features the highest rigidity system availability (positive lock) and is seismic tested and approved. It also features the maximum opportunity for tie-off, thus ensuring compliance with any 100% tie-off safety policy.
Also referred to as tube and coupler, or tube and fitting scaffold, this type of scaffolding is comprised of steel tubes and clamps. Vertical and horizontal tubes are connected via right angle clamps and diagonal tubes are used with swivel clamps to stabilize the scaffolding structure.
