Brand Belgium: 2 million hours without a lost-time accident

The Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services teams in Belgium reached an important safety milestone last summer by working 2 million hours without a lost-time accident. Posters, helmet stickers and special polo shirts alerted everyone to this great achievement.

Safety is central to Brand’s activities. Everything is aimed at creating safe work situations for clients and own employees. The SHEQ Manager is proud of the achievement: “This is a wonderful reward for our safety efforts and an incentive to keep our performance at a high level.”

Safety also has the highest priority for Brand’s industrial clients. “Of course, this milestone is also worth congratulating our customers. After all, they also develop effective safety plans and initiatives, which we as a subcontractor conform to. We encourage each other and learn from best practices, together we bring safety to a higher level. ”

During a meeting on December 13, 2019, all Brand Belgium employees were congratulated on achieving the safety milestone. Everyone was presented with a polo shirt with the BrandSafway 24/7 Safety logo in recognition of everyone’s contribution.

Growth organization

Reaching the safety milestone does not stand alone. Since the relocation in 2018 from the Belgian head office to the Mannheimweg in the Antwerp Port area, the organization has been further professionalised. In addition to extensive facilities and broader logistics capacities, Brand Belgium has grown further with more than 250 scaffolding builders and insulation technicians. All functions of support services such as SHEQ, Engineering, Administration and Purchase have now been completed.
