The robot manufacturer KUKA is investing in the construction of a new development and technology center at the company's headquarters in Augsburg. Office workplaces for around 850 employees, conference areas, robot test halls, a showroom and a new canteen for all employees will be built on a gross floor area of around 38,000 m².
In the case of the ultra-modern, sustainable property, the energy consumption should be at least 30 percent below the requirements of the current Energy Saving Ordinance. A cooperation between the branches of Bilfinger Hochbau GmbH's in Frankfurt and Munich is responsible for adhering to the tight schedule and budget.
Hünnebeck provided support for the ambitiously scheduled construction of the shell. Hünnebeck developed and supplied all formwork solutions as well as the associated safety technology on a project-specific basis. The concept was a success: The shell with one basement and up to six upper floors is almost completed after just ten months.
