Rhön Clinic Bad Neustadt

Few fitting surfaces, fast shuttering times

Scope

Flexible formwork system, few fitting surfaces

Challenge

Cramped construction site conditions, direct extension to an existing glass dome, different foundation heights, stepped construction method in the interior of the building and cantilevered ceiling area at 15 m height.

Performance

To construct an almost circular building in a stepped construction method under cramped space conditions in just eight months of construction time - this was achieved in the shell construction of the Center for Outpatient Medicine of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG in Bad Neustadt an der Saale. This was made possible by skilful work preparation, well-coordinated execution planning and flexible Hünnebeck formwork systems. In particular, the low proportion of fitting area in the slab formwork proved to be a construction accelerator.

In order to erect this demanding shell structure as efficiently and safely as possible, construction company Anton Schick GmbH + Co KG from Bad Kissingen, Germany, together with Hünnebeck, has developed an integrated formwork concept. The Hünnebeck project development department drew up the detailed execution planning in close cooperation with Schick.
