Formwork solution for the construction of a tunnel
Tight schedule, complex large construction site
Goal of the Metro aan Zee project is to extend a railroad line at the Dutch coast to Hoekse Beach, so that visitors can take the metro directly to the beach. Hünnebeck supplied a formwork solution for the various sections.
A tunnel with a length of approx. 315 meters and an interior height of 5.5 meters was planned for the underground section. For this, tunnel formwork based on the INFRA-KIT modular system was used in combination with H20 beams. With the help of the flexible and cross-system components of INFRA-KIT L and M, the required connections to the H20 beams could be created quickly and easily. INFRA-KIT was specifically developed to reduce the construction and installation time e.g. for tunnels.
In addition, MANTO wall formwork was used in combination with the GASS support system for six tunnel elements at the beginning and at the end of the tunnel.
